#threethings

- I try to correct doomscrolling with audiobooks and closed eyes. I'm working on book 6 for the year. I hope I can keep this up. Reading with my eyes all day on screens usually means that reading for enjoyment is reserved for non screen days. Those are few and far between.

- I picked up a day calendar, the kind where you pull off each individual day and there's a new little thing. It's one of my favorite daily rituals now.

- When I'm focusing I find old known good records and listen to them front to back. It's a weird quirk I picked up from Stephen King's writing progress. It's meant to prevent you from wanting to switch over and find something better. I had a few albums from my teens that I used to do this with on late night focus sessions. I want to build a little library of mini discs for this.
