A House of Spanish Type (1928), designed by Francis Keally for House Beautiful.
I’ve redrawn the original floor plans from poor scans and color-washed the black-and-white elevation according to the architect’s specifications: smooth white stucco, rich (not bright) red tile, and natural oak doors.
Nearly a century later, the layout — especially the 14’6” x 29’ living room and roof terraces — still feels remarkably modern.
