It had been well over two weeks since I did any kind of ride with distance and climbs. Boy, did I feel that today. I had trouble keeping with the pack. The new bicycle, Specialized Diverge, exceeded expectations. Love the GRX and electronic shifting. And new bicycle shoes (Lake MX21G-X) for my 11EEEE feet were super comfortable. @brownsbay I've heard of people taking regular shoes and adding cleats to them for clipless pedals. For your custom needs, that might be a useful tactic to make your own foot wear instead of hunting for a pre made solution

@trouble Ah, but these Lake shoes are so comfortable that I'm going to swap the SPD-SL pedals on my road bike (Roubaix) for pedals compatible with SPD cleats on these shoes. Plus, those SPD-SL cleats wear out too quickly.
