Now looking at the issues #FreeCAD has with Fillets. It looks like the underlying CAD kernel OCCT has some issues which come from ancient code.

Now going further down the rabbit hole looking for documentation or research on Fillets for BREP CAD kernels. And it looks like it's just based on ancient black magic from the 00s.
