I haven't written any "code" since I was in high school/college making websites for stupid shit.

**I still haven't,** but now, I've spent the last two days "vibe-coding" an entire app in Swift/SwiftUI with Codex and Xcode.

This thanks to the coverage by @atpfm and @caseynewton.

Look, genAI has HUGE issues and I'm kinda freaked out by the obsession.

But this is genuinely amazing. I'm making the app I've wanted for years, and it's not that hard.

I'm at a loss for more words, except: WOW.

Like... seriously it works. Fully original UI built with Swift. I art directed every bit of it, down to button function and icons, colors, fonts, layout, making it responsive to different sizes...
the funniest bit? I know understand all the developers i listen to in podcasts talk about the "edit, build, test, edit, ..." cycle and why a fast computer is nice. My M1 Mac Studio is killing it though. I'm flying through my "chat with Codex, build, test, correct Codex, build,..." cycle.
