Hello everyone!

As promised last week, Charty 2.0 is now on open beta! Just tap the link below to join it. I don’t want to rush this, so the first drop has 128 seats. More seats will be added later 😊

For everything that’s changing, check the post on r/ChartyApp: https://www.reddit.com/r/ChartyApp/s/WN0nrMVeH4

New seats available!
@charty is this an old screenshot in TestFlight. Don’t see anything in a tutorial for OmniFocus. I remember months back you posted an OmniFocus chart you built with this version and have been waiting to replicate it.

@bbech that’s an old one, I haven’t been able to update the screenshots yet.

Here’s the new list

@charty Damn. Missed it
@charty Hope you give Charty 1.0 beta testers a chance in the next round, before public announcements.
@rob I’ve just added extra seats! 😊

@charty Once v2 gets out (or if I’m able to join the beta before that): can I use v2 on iPhone and v1 on iPad using the same shortcuts?

(My iPad Pro 10.5” is stuck on iPadOS 17)

@rob I think you’ll be stuck with different databases on them (because the data model is different), and I guess you’ll also have to keep two sets of shortcuts because all actions have been updated too 😕

@charty Widgets seem broken?

My v1 widget shows no data, but tells me to create a chart in the app.

After deleting that widget and adding a new one I can’t select any graph for the widget.

The graph is shown in the app itself…

@rob that’s some weird behavior that happens sometimes. Try adding the widget again after restarting the phone. For some reason, sometimes it seems to disconnect
@charty Yes, rebooting helped 🎉
@charty Area charts can no longer have a border color now that you migrated to native Apple charts?
@rob yep, area series are now separate from lines. So if you want an area with a border, you’ll have to add two series.

@charty I have configured my Charty widget to run a Shortcut when I tap on it, but v2 opens an error message in Charty:

Missing required URL parameters

@rob that happens when it tries tu. I h a shortcut on a chart that doesn’t exist yet. The easy fix is to run once from shortcuts and then revert to using the widget
@rob but I’ll look into fixing this or at least providing a better error message
