What's striking reading correspondence between #Epstein & his elite circle, here with #NoamChomsky, is how his intelligence dazzled & blinded his interlocutors & how good he was at leveraging his precious wit against favours, access. So famished for intellectual stimulation & approval these people were that they were ready to brush off #paedo #crimes as "Jeffrey's quirkiness", something at best to ignore, at worst, to justify their own debasement.

Cue extensively talking to #SteveBannon while at the same time nodding at #MichaelWoolf (who famously wrote about #Trump being unfit for office). Clearly he doesn't care for either, only for himself. The now normalised positioning of modern politicians 🤔
