@LyndaDelph Yes he has. He has managed to expand his territory into additional patch of scrub, where he spends much of his time. I might put up a nestbox in there. I have been attempting to mimic his chatter, and he often replies. He has a new girlfriend who is quite shy, but I sometimes see them chatting. Blackberry is also still around, he also has a girlfriend and is singing beautifully at the moment.

@BathNature Sounds ideal. I’ve been pruning in my delightfully overgrown yard full of New Zealand natives, which means hanging out with a trio of piwakawakas (fantails) who have strong ideas about which branches need inspecting. ‘Chatter’ is a good word to describe their instructions. Love seeing them catch insects on the wing.
