Schecter FreeZesicle
At first glance, one might be forgiven for thinking this looks like a Prince bass. In fact it is the signature model of Ricky “Freeze” Smith for Morris Day and the Time, who had nothing to do with Prince as far as we know. [Checks notes… they may have had something to do with Prince.]
The body has a flowing liquidy sort of shape. (Counterintuitive to the “freeze” concept, perhaps?) The neck has a (non-princely) crown inlay at the 12th fret with no other fret markers save for a heart at the 19th. This seems an odd choice, and one that we only recall seeing on one other instrument https://beige.party/@Neat_hot/113960288293440576.
It features EMG pickups and preamp and gold hardware. Our friends at #Schecter prove once again that do know their purple. Also available in a five string version for a… deeper freeze?
