Since October 2023, my only hair style has been a buzz cut (or, as it grows a bit sometimes, short hair). And in July 2024, I finally realized that I am agender.

My mom (who doesn't know I am agender and I have no intentions of coming out to her) keeps asking when I wil grow my hair back long, like I used to have for ca. two decades. Because she thinks I have beautiful hair and I should show it.

Now who tells my mom that I do not want to have long hair again (and maybe never) because at this point im my life, it would give me serious gender dysphoria, also given the fact that I "performed" the role of a cis woman for basically all my life?
And yes, I know, hair styles in themselves have no gender, but still, I do not want to have long hair again.
