Canceled Spotify and realized that I have my hundreds of CDs ripped and sitting on a portable hard disk.

Grabbed a Raspberry Pi (version 2) and installed Samba ... that is all that is needed.

Thought I would start looking for clients and then I remembered ready-player project (https://github.com/xenodium/ready-player) for #emacs

@howard @xenodium I've been using #samba with a client side service to mount the Music share on boot and #emms in #emacs. Works well when I'm on my home network. Haven't tried it yet with #wireguard when I'm away. I generally use Jellyfin when I'm not on my home network. And it all scrobbles!
