Yet another Sailfish Community Newsletter has just been released.

Most exciting for me is that @jolla is very close to publish a Sailfish OS 5.0 update release, and that they approaching branching of the Sailfish OS 5.1. The 5.1 update is planned to be released somewhere around March. It will contain support for BeaconDB, which should help Location services to get a fix faster. Not much else is announced about this release yet...

I hope this can push back on the the "you need to have google or apple to run our app!" mindset that is so prominent now.

@lettosprey Håper du blir fornøyd. Jeg har nylig kjøpt meg en Fairphone 4 og Jolla C2, og har derfor valgt foreløpig ikke å kjøpe J2.

Gleder meg generelt til flere norske brukere på plattformen. Kanskje det gir flere norske apper? Og i alle fall tilbakemeldinger på oversettelsene som jeg har gjort til en god del apper, slik at de blir bedre.

Jeg synes plattformen er et herlig alternativ til iOS og Android, men for meg er det plattform nr. 2. Jobbtelefon skal være i MDM og det følges.
