Well the Newton eMate is working after I rebuilt the the hinges and replaced the screen cable. I’ll rebuild the battery pack later this month. #retrocomputing

@jonschwenn I'm about to start the same project - hinge, cable and battery!

What are you using to rebuild the battery? I found a pack for a baby monitor that should be a drop-in replacement with a little judicious soldering!

@ladyailuros I ordered AA sized rechargeable cells with solder tabs and was going to try my hand at disassembling the original and soldering in the new cells.
