The suggested "teach it as theory" approach doubtless works perfectly for cats. But is failing dreadfully when used to teach literacy to Australian school children.

"Today we are learning the writing process."

Edit: Anyone can see that, "Today we are learning to forge sick notes" will work better for children.

@skua @donni yes, it's because cat pedagogy predates human schools. Early instructors made the mistake of thinking you could teach humans same as cats and it just doesn't work
