Peaches at least 2 months too soon. The tree looks horrible. Old leaves, new leaves, flowers, fruit, all at the same time. #zone10b #gardening #ClimateDiary
@kellyromanych Such confusing weather. Poor tree… 🙁
@kellyromanych Sad to see. Nature needs some separation between seasons but the margins between them have become more blurred or condensed.
@Broadfork agreed. I miss seasons.

@kellyromanych Our winter has just been a long and wet back end to autumn. Drab, dull and rainy but rarely cold.

I don’t like cold, icy winters but we’ve barely had a frost. We’ve had very few of those fresh, sunny mornings where you can see your breath and the air feels clean and sharp but soothing like you’re breathing in a strong mint. I miss frosts and the ground being crunchy underfoot.

I wonder and worry what the knock on effects of this will be. #ClimateDiary

@Broadfork @kellyromanych I will happily, retrospectively, exchange the bitter east winds of our winter for your soggy one.
@Broadfork this morning, the air smelled of spring, and the sky was filled with wintery clouds & light. I don't have a word for that :/
@kellyromanych All my fruit trees have moved their schedules forward and the window for pruning has shrunk. The only schedule that hasn't changed is the one week where all our plums finish ripening and drop during our annual vacation.
@tsrams i hear you. I did a light pruning on the peach & fig tree. The fig is also pushing out new leaves :/
