Weeks away from spring equinox in SoCal
Feeling quite low. Harvested some of the winter grown sunflower heads. Will spend some time saving the seeds
one head harvested. two to go. largest head 119g of seed. winter grown had no pest pressure damage I could see yet

@Broadfork I'm thinking the backyard area may go to meadow & orchard. Likely to move the crops out front.
@kellyromanych Changes due to/for Geo, changing climate or just wanting to change things up? Meadow and orchard sound wonderful anyway.
I love seeing when someone makes their front garden a plant paradise but it’s rare to see here.
I also like permaculture zonal areas when it comes to deciding what goes where.
@Broadfork pretty much all those reasons. The lot is an unusual shape. So between utility lines, shadows from house, and being in alluvial fan area. It's a challenge.
