What is your MC’s full name? Do other characters know it?

Kira Joan Knox it's spoken Jo-Ann most assume it's something like Jown for some weird reason. Most people know about her second name but it's rarely used. Legends say it's added by the parents to have a verbal handle if Kira did something that they did not approve off. It's mostly used by others if they try to get through to her and they know it's not her favorite part of her name especially since J created Team Joanika after team Akira wasn't approved by Anika but she also didn't liked Joanika.

Abbisheek Paktii she hates it it's also written wrong in almost all documents she has as Abbishek Pakthi, Pahkti. Most people call her by her favorite name Arkham, very few people are allowed to call her Abbisheek or Abby/Aby Abbs/Abs.
The weirdest part for us today is that on double characters are often simply not spoken as such so one b, one e and ➡️

It's a bit confusing because in her core Ash is an AI developed to support Humans/Terrans and as such created by an almost entirely Terran team & her names changed plenty of times,
Including ASSHHLEIGH, ASHHLEIGH, ASSHLEIH, ASSLI, ASSLEE and so on before the settled for ASHLAI and finally ASHLEI

If someone wanted to hurt your MC, what would that person do or say to them?

Do? Better nothing or hide very well.
Kira has a strong protective side so probably a really bad idea to go for her family/friends/loved ones, or insulting her dead relatives but so is wanting to hurt someone.

Arkham, comparing her to her mother, if one can handle the backlash.

ASH is not programmed to feel pain, she can however determine intend if she has enough data of a person & might answer in a devastating dry way like locking that person in an airlock, pretending the outer door is damaged or instantly increasing the gravity arround one.

In all cases it is seen as self preservation neglect to hurt others willingly. Space has many nasty stuff that is considered non lethal but make you wish for it and people have not much sympathy for people who hurt others knowing or worst willingly.
So better just don't.

Tell us about your SC’s most cherished possession.

William Troika, second executive officer.
Since the Ghoz'Tarc is a smaller sized ship, space inside is limited (outside is plenty but that's not usable). So much of what people carry with them is on the digital side.
William has an complete Holo (smartphone 10.0) full of messages, videos, audios and pictures of his family with him. He just loves to see his daughters and wife every day, it reminds him why he is in the military.
He carries it in a small pocket inside his uniform directly above his heart.

Large and small are no size scales. the smallest group is probably made out of 2 people, the at the moment biggest group consists of 8.298.978.817 (eight billion, two hundred, ninety eight million, nine hundred seventy eight thousand, eight hundred seventeen) humans.
Don't get the ants involved...

Kira: if she can have her alone time she can live with groups of up to thousands of people.

Imagine This: In a modern universe, what would be your MC’s screen name (gamer tag or online alias)?

We had call/friend/partner/cozy names yesterday in the German Phantastik Prompts. How fitting. :D

Well Arkham already uses a very specific call name but for her gaming expirience it would probably _Hill. Or MS.KaToniK or Armitage (which she uses for her privat shuttle).

Kira probably would go with a stupid pun like The1Wu-Knox or HighKNOXicity and if asked about tell people she was born in a city called Knox or something like that.

Ashlei that's a tough one...

They are scary fellows with high intelligence, claws at their wing tips and the last part hints at that something dramatic happened in Australia with this birds, because it states beer catastrophe, Australia, pinguin revolts.
Basically the whole entry about them is disturbing and the implications for Terra.

They are a sort of Captain 'Murrica' if he was a population of genetically engineered penguins.

Or do you want to know about the layers of Vegas? Artificial trees? Why palmtrees grow in London or why the (Big Ben) Tower is sticking out of the northern sea?

How old is your antagonist? Do they act their age, or do they feel their age?

Ayanami: well it's a surprise people know their cover name, nobody has an inkling of a shimmer of knowledge about Ayanami's age.

Ariæne Johnsen: somewhere between exhausted 29 to somewhere of fit enough 40 visually.
Ariæne doesn't know themself for sure, that's the crazy with missing memories of all kind.
They probably has a birth certificate, or an ID but not all Union ID's show the age basically it's only noted if someone is considered a legal minor. Ayanami possibly could know it but from their perspective it's not important to tell it to others.

Bonus: The Nethrazier. That ship has some really interesting tech people haven't seen otherwise which hints at something very new, contrary sightings of the ship go back at least 70 years. But most cases are marked confidential.

MC POV: Are you afraid to be alone?

I take only one MC this time.

Kira: "In solitude rests the ability to grow, to listen to yourself and understand, via reflection, via distancing from the trouble around you. That said loneliness is a feeling most don't like, that's because we are still social creatures. I'm not really afraid of being alone but of long-term loneliness. What will happen to me and Ash after I leave the military? Since the merge I want alone at all, even if Ash didn't talked toe I knew if I reached out via thought she is there. As Arkham said I can't demand that they hand me the Ghoz'Tarc or give me Ash's core and my Power grid at home might not be suited for the power the core needs. I have no idea what will happen with me without her. So no I don't fear being alone but being lonely."

What does your MC have in common with you, the author?

Kira & I we are both Cyborgs, i'm more on the low level side, implants, replacements, glasses, worn medical device, she's absolutely on the high end being merged with an A.I. & some other improvements not uncommon for Terrans and Soldiers in the 24. Century. We both like Star Trek & Mass Effect (she had to watch/play it at the alliance academy for educational reasons).
Both have a soft spot for old music & old tech (she even owns a CD).
We share NSFW stuff. And we both can rage like a barbarian.

Arkham: she mirrors big parts of my sexual ID, my romantic ID, my love for speed and my anti mindset.

Ash: what could I share with an A.i.?
A certain coldness in assessment of situations. I am not the warmest person especially not if I try to understand something or are asked about emotional support. Often logic wins over my heart. Ash could be this part.

It's part of the freaking job. It's the military in 23xx, the know universe is at war with an recurring enemy that doesn't communicate, they joint voluntarily or where specifically designed for it like Ashlei.
Could it be better? Of course without war. Is it the worst thing ever? Only if reality reminds you that you are not invulnerable by taking your family, your friends, your captain, your sister, your crew, your world, your society, your home, you...

What is your SC’s response to stress?

Dr. Kaiden: chewing on snacks mostly salty algae flavored.

Dr. Waberie fidgeting with something like a pencil (basically a stylus to translate hand written into data).

Rose Draken: Coding, digging into code, rewire some hardware, solving problems that linger for a long time as a distraction (without real purpose) mostly gentle whistling and beatboxing while actually be stressed, she has a hard time to suppress this on the battlefield while planning next moves. She actually does her own explosion sounds at times when she plans for this.

Talisa Draken: humming songs, started whistling and asks herself what would Rose do despite being better at battlefield strategies.

Mondira: getting annoyed pretty much like Arkham.

J. Smiling gently and just cooling down the situation somehow.

Admiral RHA: swearing and stoping himself from doing so Quote: "son of a ... fridge."

Does your MC have any phobias or irrational fears? What is the origin of this?

Kira: high roofed space stations with a lot of room with artificial gravity. And heavy girder structures. No surprise by being almost mauled to death, as a child, loosing your whole, family, by the later while being in a park, in the former. It's not a stunning fear but significant enough to make her think about how to overcome it and using learned techniques. But usually they don't do this until they do...

Arkham: finding fun & joy in dancing.

A.S.H.L.E.I.: She 'pretty strongly dislike' to know that her existence is always on the brink of deactivation. It's what A.I.'s like her get to know early on. "Your system is run by a core that sits above a sub core, this sub core contains all the Systems you need to interact with the outside world, without it you are locked in and if the sub cores connection is cut entirely you are off."

Instinctively she started rubbing her left shoulder the memories as fresh as if it just happened, not knowing if this happened in her childhood too.
She pointed at the kids protective arm case: "Does it hurt much?"
She knew the answer but it felt silly not to ask.

The child looked at her, blinking: "I don't know, they gave me medicine to not feel it."

That depends highly on the circumstances. Are they alone? Why is there a timer running?
Deadly disease? Hope the doc does the best. Failing life support systems, and part of the maintenance staff? Work their ashes of. Not part of the maintenance crew, go into the Hyberpod to preserve Oxygen.
Part of the command crew. Highest up stays awake rest goes Hyberpod too.

Planet explodes and no space vessels to evacuate with? Enjoy your last hours and party hard or sleep and hopefully dream something nice.

On the battlefield? Give them hell!

Which of your characters would watch films (and marathon them) together? What type of films?

Movies are still a thing in the 24. Century but they changed drastically, at least for the 2/3 of the Union population that uses a NIN Implant.

First of the language of the movie can be translated directly. Scenes can be altered to your liking so that as an example characters match your preferred species or skin tone. In some cases this doesn't make sense for the story but it's possible.
Also you can get direct information of how something was done or context information. Many old movies have been refurbished into NIN media, with added emotional tracks or thoughts added of persons. Basically you can link into any character in a scene & expirience theirs.

Kira would most likely bore the people with her favorite retro SciFi works, especially Star Trek because most people remember the episodes from the academy as a primer ➡️

911 2/2 for empathy schooling, rights of individuals etc, as such they have a boring reputation amongst many.

Arkham would join Kira for it because, despite finding it boring tbh, she wants to understand what Kira finds at them.

Vice versa Kira would join Arkham in her NIN Dramas despite finding the overloaded.

William Troika, his wife and his 3 daughters used to watch a lot together, but since his oldest is to go about joining the A.P.E. program to become a soldier herself she missed some evenings.

J. organized all kind of entertainment before even Karaoke contests. So she would totally join a movie night but only if she can link out of the NIN addition, her stance is that they make the stories different and she wants 'the Real stuff'.

Genre wise most people find retro SciFi very amusing. Action movies are quite common too because they are so silly.

Talisa & Dr Kaidan.would also join.
Rose & Jenkins probably not.

Kira Knox, she/her, athletic build still readable as female on distance. Bright red natural hair but lighter blood red dyed, asymmetrical cut bob with longer parts on the left side.
Heterochromatic eyes, right side brown with a deep blue circle around the Iris, left side deep purple. Has a scar from her left forehead over the left eye to her left cheek.
Looks around 25-30, actually 35 (people life longer and look overall younger for longer periods).
Skin tone what ever the reader imagines but with a 'taint' of slight grey which gives her a slight paler sickly look (Long term space results) giant rose tattoo between her shoulders carrying the names of the fallen in her life with their date of death. Thorn tendrils going from the tattoo over to her left leg/foot and her right arm/wrist.
Elite soldier but usually very soft and gentle. ➡️

The hypersensitivity only developed after joining the military to a problematic degree that also boosted her reaction time to the signal chairs. Eats vegan because meat tends to increase her skins problems.

How could someone locate your MC in a crowd?

Hadn't we the same question a month or two ago in another prompt? Or was it Antagonist? If I would remember I would link it here.
Because I'm sure it's pretty much the same with technical help.
So pinging their Holo or join call them via Holo or NIN connection. Triangulating the exact geo location.

Otherwise look for a 178 cm large woman of yesterdays description in case of Kira.

Arkham? No change other than triangulating and finding her outside, she is 157 cm, this people have the hardest time in crowds.

Ashlei... Well if you don't spot Ashlei in a crowd of people you are looking for the wrong thing or maybe visually impaired. It's the giant black, red, blue & green, 178 meters long and around 8 story tall Ghoz'Tarc.
Seriously we talking around 2/3 of the Eiffeltower (If I remember correctly). Okay maybe she disguised herself as some sort of building.

Does your antagonist have any redeeming qualities?

Ayanami: hard to say, nobody knows enough about Ayanami. They (in lack of a better term) seem to be well mannered and somehow able to mobilize great forces in short time, but what qualities has a puppeteer according to the puppet? They fight against the Eltaryn and the whole organizations treats their soldiers well.

Ariæne: well they is loyal and if they can remember they stands to their word. Ariæne is the number one of Ayanami. They has to be effective and successful.

In your SC's opinion, what would be the worst way to die?

Every way to die is horrible. Because we fear death, we don't imagine to end, but death is the ultimate end.
We only put tags on it to deal with it. Because we can't handle uncertain things well, so we need to attribute something like a value or a reason to something. Making it framable to sort it into our moral system and help us to deal with something like death.

For my characters I think it would be pretty easy a death that could have been prevented.
Most armed forces in the Union have a great deal of empathy for the Eltaryn. They see the Terror they bring and have pitty for their wasted life's. But this empathy doesn't stop them from defending the victims of the Eltaryn. It just makes them people instead of killing machines.

Arkham: verbal destruction of the opponent if they don't stop shortly after beginning with it. She prefers the scorched earth method for stuff like this.

Ash: research the mocking person and save up infuriating material, keep calm and friendly, drop devastating information if the person insists on being a dick.
If this doesn't work inform them of a scanner malfunction and that the Ghoz'Tarc's weapon aiming system relies on audio tracking.

Well since Werewolf's like Wowolfs or Wywolfs (bad German language joke about Werwölfe) Close the eyes and disconnect from the NIN. You could do it without closing your eyes but some people might find the visual translation of a black screen for the mind more helpful, funny thing despite a visual nerve usually don't stop working (you just see darkness if you close your eyes) it should still transfer data as flashing lights if you close your eyes inside a NIN session but brains are so used to closing eyes and not seeing anything that the brain blocks the signals if you imagine closing your eyes in the NIN.

Have any of your characters ever broken a bone? More than one? If so, how did it happen?

A bone? No several on multiple occasions. Yep. They are soldiers after all and all have seen plenty of field missions. Other wounds included being shot with alien projectiles, parasites, acids, etc. For more details I would need to get past the doctor but that already didn't work so well once before this month.

How would your antagonist react to being mocked or made fun of?

Ayanami: since they only appear via message, audio call or similar one mocking them will most likely result in silence before revealing some dirt about the mocking person to the people of the mocking one. Maybe release some secrets directly into a sort of PSA or inform them that several component toxins are quite available & reach is not necessary a visible thing, if the mocking person is done being a primitive idiot, they would be allowed to participate in a conversation again. If the person isn't done yet Ayanami would ask if they had interest in electro shocks for behavioral corrections? And then shortcutting any worn device or device nearby.

Ariæne: wouldn't even flinch an eye, they has the ability to ignore a LOT.
If they answer it would be something like: "I'm sure you trained your whole life for this moment."

MC POV: When faced with a problem, do you tackle it head on or procrastinate until it needs immediate attention?

Kira: Don't push to tomorrow what you can handle today. I prefer stuff dealt immediately.

Arkham: Everything in its time. I do stuff immediately because, I'm after all, a pilot so immediate reactions are necessary, most of the times.

Ashlei: I handle all tasks in real times and process them as fast as possible. Of course I have to delegate actions to the according people since other than my repair drones i have no capacity of dealing with physical stuff if it isn't outside the ship.

How does your MC feel about their childhood home?

Kira: it was a loving home, both biological parents (father and mother, both female) head stable part time jobs as development planers & engineers. They traveled through the saver parts of the Union, with her and her two sisters (one older, one younger). It all changed with the catastrophic event on Friendship station which only left her.
Her second family Anika, her mother the Icequeen wasn't much around as the foreign affairs minister of terra, her father was an instructor on the alliance. He worked hard to handle family and job. Both Kira and Anika where often with him, for the Cadets/other instructors they were a bit of "lucky charms."
Both suffered a lot as he died on a work related travel as he defended civilians against an Eltaryn attack force. The mother took time off but never had 'the right skills' to handle two daughters. This is why both ➡️

Arkham: Had a loving Father and a helicopter dragon mother. He always softened the blows for her and took great care that his little Star wouldn't suffer to much under the mother's draconic behavior. As he died in an Eltaryn attack Arkham's world changed dramatically, as the mother then decided to move closer to the Unions rim to avoid the Union Childcare & Social services it got only worse. With 15 she ran away and lived on the streets, something to unheard of in the core territory of the Union.

Ashlei: as an AI especially designed to support Terrans, in a combat situation and care for them long term on Alliance vessels, Ashlei had a very different 'childhood.' She is in Terran years only 6 y.o. for an A.I. this is quite a long time.
