Dear Americans, in french we put a space before double punctuation. So please stop showing me an emoji panel each time I type " :".

It adds a random emoji and I have to type escape each time.

@mariejulien or at the very least please do not interpret colon+enter as "smiley face then new line."
@michelv @mariejulien If it’s smiley face, it’s not that bad. But when it chooses the most recently used emoji, and it happens to be the middle finger one, that can lead to friction.
@mariejulien Also, it needs to be a non-breaking space (non-breaking thin space, even, but I type the regular one.) Stop systematically replacing non-breaking spaces with regular spaces in web browsers, it’s a dick move.

@mariejulien This issue was reported to Atlassian numerous times.

They always did this: 🚮

@240185 @mariejulien Great ! What is the keyboard shortcut for the bin emoji ?

@PH7831 @mariejulien I wrote it on an iPhone, which has a dedicated key for emojis.

Under Windows, try Super+V, then go to the emoji and try to find it by writing a keyword like “trash“, “bin“, etc…

Or “Poubelle“ in French ;)

@240185 @mariejulien It was a rhetorical question, a joke. 😉

@mariejulien @petitmote

dans les regexp il y a un raccourci pour tous les types d'espace (\s) qu'on utilise facilement sans trop réfléchir, ça doit être le problème ici

@mariejulien

Ah yes, my gratitude to raise this, it is really a **bread** ( translate in french and read it in english ) !
@mariejulien
Les formulaires GitHub et gitlab : je vous hais.
@mariejulien so very true! Happens all the time.
@mariejulien time to use ergol/arsenic layout & escape under the thumb ^^
