The thing I find really scary about how many of us use LLMs has nothing to do with #AI itself. It's that these are •really• appealing to our tendency to be slothful. If we're using an #LLM because we can't be arsed to do more than the bare minimum of work ourselves, I have •zero• faith that we are doing the extra work needed to feed the LLM hypothetical data rather than actual private data. Social media has proven that we'll happily hand over what little privacy we have to be able to access cat memes... and this is much more appealing to folks.
