So I guess they’re cutting out some of the starting stuff of the mixer huh… well anyways to go over what this episode didn’t cover Koichi was invited to the mixer because the band leader already has a girlfriend and refused to go so he’s just a “seat filler” as the manga put it… then Pop got jealous and Midnight noticed which is how Pop got dragged into it with Midnight’s sidekicks effectively picking up the other two girls so they could get in…
the towel scene was a lot grosser in the manga… glad they toned that down here… what I’ve noticed with Vigilantes is the plot always seems to reach it’s highs when that man appears… especially since it seem he may have some connection to O’Clock (I mean I already know… cause manga but still) whoa we’re doing the Aizawa Oboro backstory arc now dang! They’re switching the order of all this here!

I mean I guess the next major battle would probably make sense for a grand finale of season 2… well frankly the Oboro backstory is like the one exception to the whole “when Knuckleduster is relevant the story has high moments…” I also just realized the reason why it feels like things are going faster on an episode per episode basis is cause the manga was biweekly which meant 1 chapter every 2 weeks

so with these episodes it’s fair to say we’re getting MONTHS worth of chapters in one week like it was a loooooong time before Soga and Knuckleduster reappeared in the manga but here not so much (especially cause Knuckleduster appears in the opening which I still find to be weird cause like the whole big thing with him is he’s supposed to have “left” the main group
