Low power #DC #heat pumps?
Difficult to run a little heat pump off a solar panel because if it has a compressor the startup surge of that is much higher than the operating current.
But...
#Tiger #tanks and some #aircraft engines were started with a hand cranked #flywheel .
So how about spinning up a flywheel with low powered DC, and then clutching it in to a compressor motor?
