My third time participating in the Dutch bird count🐦 Once again I counted more birds than the last time... Maybe the conditions were better, maybe more birds are visiting our garden, or maybe I'm actually getting better at spotting and recognising the birds πŸ€” It's probably just completely random thoughπŸ˜‚

Birds counted:
5 great tits
3 wood pidgeons
1 dunnock
1 chaffinch
1 wren
1 jay

Oh shoot I forgot! Still, funny to see that your garden/areas has different birds conpared to mine. Mine attracts robins, coal tits, blackbirds, magpies, jackdaws, and pigeons.
You'll have another chance next year!πŸ€— And in April you can count bees πŸ˜‹ But yeah I looked at the results per region and it is interesting to see the differences! I think it also really depends on the weather/time of day (and luck haha). I often see magpies in the garden, but I think mostly in the morning or later in the day and when it is sunnier... And a blackbird did fly over, but as it didn't land in our garden I wasn't allowed to count itπŸ˜‚ (same for the heron that /almost/ landed in our garden haha, that would have been cool)
