A couple hours ago I checked the forecast, thinking about a ride. @duncan__british_columbia was not very encouraging; basically no chance until about noon - https://ca.fedimeteo.com/duncan__british_columbia/p/1769872477.249978

But Apple's weather disagreed, the rain would taper off in 40 minutes.

I trusted #fedimeteo more. And it is now pouring outside. I will check again in couple hours.

I find #Fedimeteo tends to be off a bit on temperature and precipitation amounts here, but pretty accurate on what kind of weather and when

For instance, right now it says it's about three degrees F warmer than it actually is. 🤷

Yes. As I understand it, they are using the same source as Norway's global models - so [very simplified comment] a 'consensus model' out of many different models.

Like any group think, it is really good getting the overall picture right, but the more closely you look the more likely things are not perfect.
