Getting ready for warmer WX to return to EN52 - working on my top-hat for the end of the CHA SS-17 whip. Using 24” cable ties and some surplus 3/4” adhesive backed copper tape. Working through a couple of issues, but it looks like it will work out fine in the end. Plan to wrap this up before spring arrives! More antenna fun ahead! #HamRadio #PortableAntenna

@n8dmt just starting to explore longer portable antenna…a 5m carbon fibre pole arrived today. Need to sort out some mounting of some kind to feed the 3/8x24 mount at the bottom of the antenna. Weighs about 238gm with adapter but don’t think it will handle a top hat though…
