TIL that Github does not have IPv6. Which is pretty ridiculous for anytime in the last decade, but in 2026, for a site that big and important? Better go elsewhere with your projects...

@Baa @ruawhitepaw Can't be Microsoft not having the address range either, one has to suppose this to simply be a lack of effort.

@Baa @ruawhitepaw It kind of does make sense though, doing backend work like that is a cost and when IPv4 works just fine in keeping the site connected to the internet at large corporate has little reason to invest into that. They don't see money coming out of it. Classic shareholders first attitude.

@ruawhitepaw Learned about it two years ago when I tried to use a IPv6-only VPS :) .. Took me some time to figure out what went wrong.
