@ami_angelwings that's right. A lot of trouble for the Fellowship of the Ring could have been avoided if they'd just let Bilbo keep his ring. He could have moved into a cave, subsisted on tasty fish. But, no, they had to make it complicated.

@swelljoe that's the ultimate torture for sauron, every few thousand years a new hobbit takes the ring from the old one and Sauron comes so close to having a chance to get it back, but then they just become another Gollum
