I'm watching #PrismRondo (a new original #anime based on Kamio Youko's story idea) and loving it immensely. Is it unique? Not particularly, no (though I'm only at episode 7 right now, so who knows; we'll see), but it's enjoyable, and I don't really care if it's tropes all the way down. I suppose I'm just in the mood for something visually pleasing and fun. The voice cast is amazing, too.
Confession time: although I'm a shoujo #manga fan, I... haven't actually read #HanaYoriDango (Kamio's most famous work). I gave it a try once, and while the female protagonist was fine, the male love interest didn't work for me. Maybe I need to go back to it? I dunno. I remember liking #CatStreet a lot though.
More on #PrismRondo: Kit and Peter's heated conversation in episode 9 is good! I sided with Kit at first, but Peter has a point. No matter how Kit feels about aristocracy or his own art, he is filthy rich. Even if Kit fails as an artist, which is highly unlikely to begin with, he can cry on his pile of money. And sure, Peter is probably not dirt-poor himself, but compared to a literal duke? Yeah.
