I have just found out that Csound 7 is being developed with some AI involvement. A real shame.

Would be keen to hear what other music programming languages people like and use. I use Pd, and I like it, but I would like to also have some code-based tools for variety.

I compose music for live performance with a musician, but not necessarily live-coding. I like building little reactive systems.

@cuddlyanarchist I saw this somewhere else on fedi. I don't program music myself, but it seems neat https://www.bespokesynth.com/

@cuddlyanarchist supercollider is basically just a programming language and is probably what you're looking for. I prefer it to Pd for generative/aleatoric music, with Pd be better for making "instruments".
@aatch Yeah, that's what I'm starting to think. I've never been a total fan of the syntax, but I'll give it a shot. It's a shame sapf is macOS only at the moment because that seems very up my alley.
