Went to the doctor, and he removed the plastic around my bandage. After he left, I asked the nurse, how should I shower without the plastic. She said to shower with it and then put on new bandages. She then proceeded to hand me two new bandages, and said that these should suffice until our appointment next week. "That is, unless you shower everyday..."
I looked incredulous to her with all that is Brazilian inside of me screaming, and answered "I do"

When I moved out of my last apartment with the nightmare neighbors and psycho landlady, my landlady called me up shortly before I was moving out and asked if I was "planning to use the shower this week" because she wanted to refinish the bathtub before the new tenants moved in.

Also hey!! They make leg/foot/arm protectors for the shower after surgery, if you didn't know. They're great if you need something like that. Maybe too late for this time... I used one when I had foot surgery. It worked perfectly to keep your bandages dry and it's reusable.
