I managed to get to talk to a real life recruitment agent on the phone today. He asked me how I was finding things. I said it was hell.

He actually admitted he didn't even read most of the applications to a post he advertises as "there are just too many to go through." So unless your application is one of the first 15-20 on the pile you are wasting your time with him.

Recruitment is totally and utterly broken.
