Now that I am awake by choice (and have been a while), I'm busy continuing the work on OJF where I left off yesterday.

I threw out JWTs, and in came PASETO, and this was such a relief. So much easier to use, and pretty good documentation, too. The pasetors crate in particular was an absolute delight.

Now I have session start & stop, and verification, with a nice middleware. I can implement the rest of the API.

Just to cheer myself up, because today was most definitely not fun: once the auth rework is in, I can re-implement the HTML UI, along with the API. Once that…

Today's plan: have enough of an API to set everything up, and start working on the file server parts. Once that's done, I can make ojf-proxy work with that directly.

And that will be fantastic.

Then I'll need to do some HTML UI work. But... most of that I already did, I just need a bit of cookie massaging, and resurrecting code I removed.

HOW THE FUCK IS IT 17:00 ALREADY?! WHERE DID TIME GO?!

@algernon

It went past.

Always does.
