With a brief delay after being read both Harlan Ellison-edited anthologies "Dangerous Visions" and "Again, Dangerous Visions" - not comparable to the delay in their publishing - I was recently read "The Last Dangerous Visions".

Contributing writers include legends such as Neil Gaiman (@neilhimself) and Cory Doctorow (@pluralistic).

These anthologies contain stories by many then-and/or-now famous writers along with many other talented but not famous ones, with the collective theme being that all stories express challenging ideas of the type which are usually filtered out by the process of commerce.

They are glued together with commentary by editors Harlan Ellison and, for 2024's "The Last Dangerous Visions" which was published eight year after Ellison's death, J. Michael Straczynski, along with authors' biographies.
