I hate when this happens. This card just failed on me over night. The computer was switched off properly last night. This graphics card seems just dead. I wonder what happened. 🤷

@mastosalo When this happened to me the GPU got burnt out, needing to remove it from the computer. Maybe send to a trusted technician so your situation could be properly diagnosed?

@wwberrutti

Thanks. I just going to find a replacement for now, but I am going to have it checked just out of curiosity. This is a bummer right now, because this junk this card exploded in was currently my only gear to peek inside of floppy disks, which was the operation at hand. 🙉

Sometimes this goofing around with e-waste hits you hard. 🤩

@mastosalo Possibly the power supply on the board didn't survive the n+1 power cycle.

Checking the two supply voltages might bring clarity. A datasheet is here:

@mastosalo Is that a Geforce 2 GTS? I had one Asus-branded failing on me as well a few years ago.

@derSammler

Yes. Funny thing is that there was just two floppies to go through on this project 🤩

I guess I'll go get an external USB floppy drive on monday or something. Do they even sell those anymore. Oh my dog. 🥳
