In October, ICE grabbed Maher Tarabishi.

He was a 24/7 caregiver for his severely disabled son Wael.

At the time of Maher’s detention, disability advocates warned that taking away Wael’s caregiver put his life at risk.

I wrote about Wael and how our caregivers are an extension of us.

Without them we can’t do basic activities of daily living.

Wael died on Friday at age 30.

He didn’t even get to say goodbye to his father.

ICE caused his death & unnecessary suffering.

Now they’re refusing to allow Maher to attend the funeral.

Absolute ghouls.

@broadwaybabyto Its rather disgustingly ironic that at one time, not too long ago, a citizen of North America may have had fleeting thoughts that an invading state actor, such as Russia could potentially do things like this, if not stopped by the almighty Military Industrial Complex. Pretty sure no one thought their own government would be doing this to their communities.
