Harvey Sandstrom#digikey now has their own house brand, "Digikey Standard". Smells a lot like [...]mazon Basic and I don't think I approve.
Edit: I have no idea how old it is, I only just noticed it because there was an ad on hackaday.
Rue Mohr@cd0 I saw it started as a way to standardize passive part numbers for things that change manufacturers a lot, like resistors. so every time a supplier changes you dont have to find a new 0805 1k resistor.
@RueNahcMohr Alright well that improves my opinion significantly, I'm sick of capacitors changing part numbers for no conceivable reason.
