I suspect the folks at FarmArt didn’t think about how their logo would look with the van doors open.

German: It's supposed to say

Kanalsanierung
Rohrabdichtung

But behind closed doors it is said they also serve other areas.

@tempelorg @gruber

We also have a Carsharing company named MILES, but sometimes not 😏

@philleu @tempelorg MILFS delivery service is a very different business model.
@gruber i get it - it looks like it says “swgetables”, which is obviously not a real word!

@dkelkhoff

Since when? I'd gathered this was the most reasonable explanation for all the swgetables people had been farting of late.

@gruber design on sliding doors should always be checked closed before being validated
@gruber
In polish „fart” means luck.
We've got place nearby with restaurant and tennis courts which tll few years ago was called "fart restaurant".
The sign brought many smiles to the children as they grew older and started learning common language.

@gruber Years ago I worked in large-format brand design. The reason you see so much of this on vehicles is because the design process for vehicle wraps/logos isn't very robust.

It was super rare to get specifications better than 2D elevation drawings — and they did not provide details on sliding doors/windows/etc.

Sometimes I'd mock-up using a 3D model which helped identify issues, but that was a rare luxury.

Like a lot of everyday design, this is harder to do right than it looks.

@gruber They thought of that! They can leave the door open, no one will dare come in 😂
@gruber i would have done it on purpose.
@gruber I’d like to think they did
@gruber Folks at Starbucks didn’t either.
@gruber the gruberest of jokes 👌
