Question for my #reader friends. I really can't commit to reading two books (or more) at the same time. If I am 'reading' multiple #books, that usually means the previously started ones have fallen out of grace. However, due to the fact that I also can't *not* finish books, they will be dealt with at a later moment. So now, I really want to do a quick snack with a #ProjectGutenberg crime novel, but I haven't finished the current book, which I like but don't love: What to do!? #NotAnAnalogy
@matthijs ehh become less precious about not *not* finishing books. If they suck life is short and it's ok to move on. There's a really good episode of The Vergecast from a couple years back that I think about often on this topic
@Lizzie I know, and I did it once with #Franzen's #Purity (which had the worst depictions of female characters I had ever read) but it feels weird with anything that doesn't meet the "truly awful" bar. But you are right. Ugh, why is this difficult!?

@matthijs IKR I've been trying to read "The Priory of the Orange tree" by Samantha Shannon for years. Which IS good and so well written and thoughtful with great characters, but still haven't made a dent. Meanwhile I couldn't stop reading the Kel Kade series even though I was thinking *this is total garbage* as I binged 3 novels in a row...

I did manage to resist book 4 and 5 in that series though lol
