I can’t be the only one who reads certain words and hears them in the Indiana accent.

David #Letterman used to have a recurring “or as we say back home in Indiana” bit. Miss that guy.

@bigelowmonkeyflower I'm a transplant to Indiana, and have fully stopped using "to be' after certain verbs. The car needs washed. Your dog wants out.
@DragonDrop oof, I admire your level of acceptance. I’m from PA originally, where they’d say “my car needs washing,” and here they say “my car needs washed.” Both places seems to have answered Hamlet’s age-old question 🤔💭
