@Quasit @theleftistlawyer The police at large are little more than a billy club for the wealthy. Sure, they help the rest of us out once in a while, but the wealthy will always be the priority, and we will always be seen as the enemy even when they are "helping".
I've noticed that not a single police car I've personally seen in the last decade still has "To protect and serve" displayed on the car. There is a reason for that.
@deadtom
I got arrested in 2010 for adding - corrupt capitalist motherfuckers to 2 cop cars in Vancouver. I don't regret doing it. I paid a fine. It was worth it.
@theleftistlawyer
I don't think defunding them is enough. They need to be abolished, and individually prosecuted for their crimes. Both ICE and the police. And the FBI, CIA, NSA, etc.
Not to mention their bosses and their boss's bosses. All the way up.
The institution of policing was a failure from the start. We need to come up with something different.
Uvalde proved once and for all that cops are worse than useless, they're in the way. There's a name for people who rely on police to protect them. They're called "victims." Police have no obligation to protect us. The SCOTUS agrees.

@theleftistlawyer I thought the original function of a 'police force' i.e. bounty hunters was to capture runaway slaves...
Such great progress America
