If there's one thing I'm grateful for with today's gaming machines, it's how they can capture emotions on characters' faces. It adds so much to story-driven games.
Now, don't get me wrong, I'm not saying it was impossible to tell a gripping story 30 years ago. I shed a tear playing *Link's Awakening* in 160x144 pixels with four shades of gray, after all. But I'm glad I get to experience some of the games coming out nowadays.
