#Trump & the White House posted on social media Fri & Sat to highlight the updated portrait in the “America’s Presidents” exhibition, which now features a framed B&W photo by White House photographer Daniel Torok.

Smithsonian removes Trump impeachment text as it swaps his portrait

A Trump official previously complained about a caption beside his National Portrait Gallery photo mentioning his impeachments and the U.S. Capitol insurrection.

It replaced a photo by photojournalist Matt McClain, which showed #Trump with his hands folded in front of him, & was accompanied by a longer caption recounting Trump’s first term & his reelection. “Impeached twice, on charges of #AbuseOfPower & #incitement of #insurrection after supporters attacked the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021, he was acquitted by the Senate in both trials,” it read in part.

A #Trump ofcl complained about that passage months ago, when Trump was trying to force out the #NationalPortraitGallery director.

The placard has been replaced with one whose caption is so short that the outline of the old sign is visible on the wall, simply noting Trump’s years in office. It contrasts with portraits of other presidents, including Joe Biden, Barack Obama, George W. Bush & Bill Clinton, which have wall text highlighting events during their terms. Clinton’s notes his impeachment.

@Nonilex these clowns will never be able to delete the insurrection from the footage that ALL the TV stations in the WORLD have, plus all of our collective memories.

They'd have to destroy the Earth, ending the human race to accomplish that. They might try...
