When I see news of the horror show down south, I divide the number of voters who chose against this by the sum of those who voted for the party responsible for this and those who chose not to vote because "things would still be the same otherwise".

I need not be reminded that millions did vote against it, nor that my friends voted against it. I might need to have challenged my view that the denominator in the above paragraph are happy with their nation as is.
