Well, this was the third day of my unplanned YouTube boycott. I didn't use YouTube at all, not even YouTube Music.

My son *did* use YouTube on the big TV while we were having dinner, and I even watched - but I didn't log into my own YouTube account, and when I was done with dinner I went back upstairs.

I think my next project is to document all of my YTM playlists and download any songs I'm missing.

It wasn't until I started boycotting YouTube that I started to realize how many posts here on Mastodon include YouTube videos. I didn't click on any of them. I favorited a few where I thought the text was good, but I didn't boost any of them as I thought that would seem hypocritical of me.

Does that sound pompous? Probably. Oh well.

I didn't post as much today as on the last few days; sorry about that! I'll try to think of things tonight that I can write and post tomorrow. Maybe some lost media of one sort or another.

Good night!

@Quasit Iโ€™m also avoiding using (and promoting) YouTube videos. It sucks for music sharing reasons (along with the other reasons).
@helianthropy
I wish people would use PeerTube more, even if only as a backup. But I haven't used it much myself, so I can't be too critical.
@Quasit When I share videos, I always include links to YouTube, Invidious, and Piped, so people can chooseโ€”does that work for you?
