Took a while to track down the creator: They are "flexasaurus rex" on that other site (which I won't link to). The link on the info page points to an old, deactivated account.

@danimrich Yeah, the link is only there on mouseover. I am going to tip them, as I have enjoyed the site very much. Obviously no pressure for anyone else to do so, just saying that I don't mind someone asking for a voluntary tip when they make something that brightens my day.

they're (probably) abusing the youtube API to avoid having to show ads.
they're (probably) abusing the imvdb API to get the lists of songs to feed into this.
this is almost certainly vibe-coded.

This is literally taking 3 different API popsicle sticks and gluing them together.

@skullvalanche @mcnees totally what I figured. Hope it gets by, I mean, MTV killed great music TV so long ago now.. It used to be so amazing. 120 Minutes is where I found so much amazing stuff. Mind you, I could only watch at friends' houses, my parents never had cable. But what my family DID have was a 2 tape VCR, so my friend would tape 120 Minutes and I would painstakingly make VHS mixtapes of our favorites. 😂

@mcnees I thought this was a cool project, forwarded the link to someone and they couldn't access it. The popup to buy the dev a coffee can only be dismissed on mobile if you have the 100% zoom, I am told, so anyone who is visually impaired on a phone and uses higher zoom can't get to it. I don't want to criticize since it looks like a great project, but the lack of accessibility turned it from something fun to look at to something that wouldn't work.
