Fuckery by TD bank.

If they send you paper statements, they refuse to also show you the online copies.

Also things past 18 months (or six months) aren't shown.

The law should be simple: If they have data on you, they should be required to give it to you-- in a machine readable format.

@purpleidea Yeah, it's so annoying. I'm with WS now and will be trying out Vancity soon smh (WS at least has a really good client and lets you use TOTP for authentication)
@pojntfx WealthSimple is not AIUI a real bank, and isn't CDIC insured. :/

@purpleidea I do wish they just got a banking license though ... part of why I'd like to use Vancity is just to keep my cash in a safer place

@pojntfx I am not the expert here, but I believe part of why this is is so that they don't have to follow the already weak consumer banking regulations. (Which are actually occasionally helpful, but which need to be stronger and actually enforced.)

So by using them they're doing data fuckery and so on...
