"One of Musk’s final feuds of the year came from a more unusual source – famed 87-year-old author Joyce Carol Oates, whose cutting observation about him on X received more than 5.6m views.

“'So curious that such a wealthy man never posts anything that indicates that he enjoys or is even aware of what virtually everyone appreciates –'"

Elon Musk’s 2025 recap: how the world’s richest person became its most chaotic

How the tech CEO and ‘Dogefather’ made a mess of the year – from his White House tenure to an apparent Nazi salute

The Guardian

"'scenes from nature, pet dog or cat, praise for a movie, music, a book (but doubt that he reads); pride in a friend’s or relative’s accomplishment; condolences for someone who has died; pleasure in sports, acclaim for a favorite team; references to history,' [Joyce Carol] Oates posted in November."

"A day later, after Musk made a show of enthusiastically replying to several clips of movies on X, he responded to Oates’s critique.

'Oates is a liar and delights in being mean,' Musk posted. 'Not a good human.'”

@wdlindsy

The same #Musk whose #Starlink is sold to both sides of the #Russia - #Ukraine war? That Musk?

The same #Starlink #China says is a security threat?

These guys don't care if WWIII is nigh.

@Stinson_108 @wdlindsy For the USA a war is basically a sales opportunity.

@TimWardCam @wdlindsy

We started by giving old #Javelin missiles (1996) to #Ukraine. Then cleaning out stocks of other old weapons, like the #M1A1 #Abrams tank. Now, we're selling stuff to the Europeans they give to Ukraine. Yup. It's all business now.

If the U.S. realized we actually had skin in the game, we'd give away all our old stuff and replace it with new. #Trump sees only the sales opportunity. He doesn't see the war risk.

@wdlindsy Notice how dickMusk says "Not a good human" as opposed to "Not a good person". This guy sees the world through the eyes of a robot, and sees humanity as disposable.
