My Bluesky account was shut down again even though I barely use it.
It seems the platform’s moderators can’t handle the voice of the oppressed and know nothing of real civilization.
Its means justice, equality, and freedom of expression.
why is the voice of Gaza the people facing the most brutal form of modern-day genocide being silenced?
Why is the victim punished while the oppressor is allowed to dominate?
You can delete accounts, but you can’t delete the truth.

@AsarSameer Bluesky has stated its positions many times by now.

Some accounts from Gaza have been suspended without even posting anything.

Just because they existed as human beings and dared to connect from that piece of land, I guess.

Bluesky has actually been more hostile towards Palestinian accounts even than other mainstream platforms (like Facebook and Instagram) that I expected to be more hostile.

If you still want to have some presence on Bluesky you can try and bridge your Mastodon account through this: https://fed.brid.gy/login. It basically creates a bridge account, and everything you post here will also be posted on that account, so people can still follow you there. But there’s no guarantee that they won’t shut down your bridged account too.

My advice for now is to simply boycott Bluesky. You’ve got protection and sympathetic instance admins here on the Fediverse.

Bridgy Fed

Bridgy Fed is a bridge between decentralized social networks like the fediverse, Bluesky, and web sites and blogs.

@fabio @AsarSameer And this is the problem with centralized social media. I get the Bsky has a larger reach. Definitely easier to find what you're looking for, and likewise be heard, on Bsky than on Masto. If you don't get banned, anyway.

Sure there are blocks/mutes and defederating on Masto, but you're not being silenced and deplatformed, altogether. There are pros and cons for that, as well.

But I still choose Mastodon over Bsky.

@jcphoenix @fabio
Indeed, from what little I know about both platforms, Mastodon is far better than the bullying Bluesky — by far.
@fabio
You're absolutely right — I didn’t even post anything, and when I did, I was always extremely careful.
I’m truly grateful to the one who introduced me to Mastodon, and even more grateful for all of you — your support means the world to us.
Thank you for standing with us. 💜🍉
