My #aviation and #airplane friends (and people who used to travel a lot), can you help me remember the name of a pre-Internet publication?

It was a little paperback book that listed all the current scheduled flight information. It was sold at the newsstands in airports, and it was rather pricey, but it was absolutely key to making last-minute changes of plan that required flying. Pretty sure the Internet killed it.

It was printed on thin newsprint, and I think it was a monthly publication. It had a weird shape, like narrow and thin. If your clothing had good pockets, it would probably fit in one. It was ephemera, so you threw it out when you were done with it.

@ClimateJenny The Official Airline Guide?

@Virginicus YES! They called it the OAG.

One of my children just had a flight cancelled out of O’Hare, and the situation reminded me of the olden days of the OAG.

@ClimateJenny the airline guide. individual airlines will still print their own regular flights in a little skinny paperback book thing.
