@laetsgo similar to mortgages and stocks pre 2008 I imagine. As long as valuations are high and go up, they can invest in startups then cash out their percentage as profit when the startup gets bought by Google or such at some wild over valuation. Rinse and repeat as they say. Like 2008 it all goes to shit once number stops going up and the startups don’t get acquired anymore. Only have to look at how Elno got started to see how quickly the pile can grow on an upward tech trend.

@laetsgo oh for sure. I was more meaning how do they currently manage to keep the VC cash coming. Of course many say they are down to months worth of even that now. A deep hole they’ve dug and we are all up to our necks in the earth they’ve displaced 😡 It was always going to backfire and like 2008 those who created the mess will suffer least as per usual. No lesson is ever learned in capitalism it seems.
