Deleted my LinkedIn account today. Feels like a relief. Exited Facebook, Twitter and Instagram many years ago already, which also made my life more comfortable.

Mastodon, Pixelfed and other Fediverse platforms are different. You're not being manipulated by algorithms to maximize engagement, you're not bombarded by ads, not misled by fake news and "AI" generated slop posts, not numbed by nervous short videos, and other forms of enshittification.

@metin well done! However sorry to say that#AIslop is 💯% on the #fediverse, as are #fakenews (albeit with a leftist slant if your instance blocked all nazi files). We are not immune nor separated from the rest of the world and users themselves (rather than the centralised entity) introduce these.

@metin it's like #enshitification is somehow dirtying the fediverse, even though there is no direct intention nor gains for the tech bros. Btw, Mr enshitification himself is in the fediverse, in case you are not following him, @pluralistic ! I just started his book and offered one for Xmas too 👋🤶!
